Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
